I was perusing the winter copy of my alma mater's alumni magazine when I came across this bit of info about the class of 2014:
Mean SAT score: 2004
What?
2004?
When did the scoring limit change to 2400?
Now, grant it, I don't run the education circuit but you would have thought I might have heard about this.
According to Wikipedia, this change happened in 2005.
Also, according to Wikipedia, "SAT" is an "empty acronym" meaning it doesn't stand for anything.
Who knew?
I am glad I haven't been parading my score in front of today's high school set.
