Last night on The Food Network Star, one of the cast members mentioned something about how his high school quote was X and how that was like the theme of his life.
Friend B and Mr. were watching this with me so I said to them, "Yeah right. High school senior quotes mean nothing after graduation". And to prove my point, I dusted off the old high school year book and told them to keep in mind my current job and mindset as I read the following by Langston Hughes aka my senior quote (not positive on the exact punctuation):
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly
I think we are still laughing.
